88 noted, weighted hammer-action keyboard controller. Maybe the best weighted keyboard ever made. Originally made in the 80s, and built like nothing else since. It has steel construction and weighs close to 50 lbs. Still in great working condition. There are some scuffs and scratches on the casing, and a few cracks in the plastic membranes, but the keys are all in excellent shape, both cosmetically and mechanically. Yamaha’s KX88 set the global standard for master keyboards for controlling numerous MIDI tone generators, which were in high demand after the onset of MIDI protocol. The KX88 features an 88-key piano-touch keyboard, and single, dual and split modes for controlling A/B 2 series MIDI data. Over 30 years later, this master keyboard still has many devoted users.
