Vaughn Velocity V7 XF Hockey Goalie Chest & Arm Protector, size M Senior. Pro Spec Carbon. Excellent condition with some wear as shown in pics. Large carbon fiber shoulder floaters. Large sternum plate reinforced with Carbon Fiber. Chest pad lined with Kevlar/Ballistic style components. The chest pad is constructed with thinner ultra high-density foam segments that cover carbon fiber plates to reduce weight and increase protection. Additionally, layers of Kevlar ballistic material with both protective and cushioning foams are inside the core of the chest pad to reduce impact penetration. A large sternum plate made of foam and carbon fiber inserts provides a sturdy second layer of protection in this highly sensitive area. The sides of the chest pad have been extended to provide better wrap around coverage, and a segmented belly flap allows the goalie to bend forward easily in his/her stance. Large, segmented "Velocity 3" style shoulder floaters feature ultra high density foams, carbon fiber, and an air pillow cushion behind the pad for incredible protection. A secondary, oval-shaped foam pad sits under the floaters to protect the shoulder joint and armpit area, and an additional pad has been sewn into the upper chest unit that provides armpit protection as well. The arms are constructed using a dimensional mesh for breathability and flexibility, and they are made using water cooled HD foam molded caps, which have been extended to increase the coverage area. A slightly thicker layer of ultra high-density foam components have been added to the bicep area for 2015, and the elbow feature the same foam plus a four-point adjustment system for a precise fit. The shoulder area has velcro adjustments to keep the unit secure and balanced on the goalie's body.
