5 1oz .999 fine copper bullion rounds from the Osborne Mint’s Nordic Creatures series. Limited mintage of 100,000 rounds per creature. The reverse of each round depicts the Yggdrasil tree (The World Tree). The obverse of each round in order of release depicts the following from Norse Mythology: 1st release: Features an image of Níðhöggr, the fiery and ferocious dragon. 2nd release: The Frost Giant, as he rampages through Jotunheim, the land of the giants. 3rd release: The mighty and majestic Sleipnir - the eight legged steed of Norse god, Odin. 4th release: Garm is seen snarling and ready to create havoc. The menacing creature is chained to the gates of Helheim until the day of Ragnarok, when he will be released to fight in the legendary battle of the gods. 5th release: The Great Eagle perched upon the highest limb of Yggdrasil, the World Tree Can meet in public place in Maple Ridge.
