No driver required - No batteries required either - Unit is about ten years old - During this time, the unit was also used maybe 5 to 10 times. And light usage. Not used while jogging or running - Try it before you buy it. Priced to sell - Definitely beats the dollar store headphones by a huge margin. Ive yet to try Beats by Dr. Dre. So couldnt make that comparison thx
